HR Generalist
Role Summary
Reports to the HR Manager, ensuring compliance with HR laws and managing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits, leave, and offboarding. Tracks turnover, supports retention, and maintains accurate personnel records.
Key Responsibilities
- First point of contact for HR-related inquiries
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: postings, screenings, interviews, offers/contracts
- Facilitate orientations and support immigration processes (LMIA, Global Talent Stream, NAFTA)
- Administer benefits and update employee records
- Coordinate engagement activities, performance reviews, and JHSC compliance
- Maintain policies and participate in HR projects
Qualifications
- 1–3 years HR experience; Bachelor's or post-grad in HR Management
- Strong detail orientation, organization, and communication skills
- Policy and legislation interpretation; decision-making skills
- Assets: CHRP (or in progress), talent acquisition, HRIS (BambooHR), French proficiency, VFX/motion picture experience
